Keto White Pizza | King Arthur Mix

Pizza is welcome any day of the week. A handy mix also makes preparation easier, especially on weekdays when you may be pressed for time.

There is a dedicated playlist on the channel with many 'keto-fied' variations of the cheesy slice, made from scratch or with other low-carb baking mixes. And today's take on low-carb pizza uses the new King Arthur Keto Wheat Pizza Mix to make the most chewy and crisp keto crust ever!


Plus, each slice totals 1g net carbs and contains only non-GMO ingredients. Besides, each box yields two rounds of dough that can easily make two large 14" pizzas to stretch your food budget and maximize efficiency by having a spare round on-hand in the refrigerator or freezer, to make later in the week.

You can get completely creative with your toppings, but for this white pizza we'll swap out the red pizza sauce for white sauce and an herbed mascarpone cheese savory topping, along with a mound of melted mozzarella.

A Few Words About Toppings


A crispy, chewy crust, sauce, and toppings work as a reliable framework for any savory pie, but how you mix and match your ingredients can create endless varieties of flavor combinations to enjoy for weeks and years to come.


Here are a few handy options to consider adding atop your 14-inch thin crust pizza, in additional to mounds of creamy cheese, while keeping your macros in mind. The net carbs noted below are for a one-cup serving:


Veggies

- Mushrooms: 3g (varies slightly per variety)

- Sweet Bell Peppers: 4g

- Olives: 3g

- Broccoli: 3.7g

- Spinach: 0.4g


Meat


- Bacon: Brands like Applegate Farms contain no hidden sugars and zero carbs, especially their 'no sugar' offering.


- Pepperoni: Most varieties of pepperoni can safely be considered a sugar-free food, but brands like Applegate Farms come in handy again to make sure you're avoiding unwanted, pesky sugars.


- Sausage: Grass-fed options like Teton Waters Ranch are excellent options to add loads of taste with zero unwanted carbs.


- Ham & Prosciutto: Many brands will come in at about two grams of net carbs per cup.


Other Enhancements


- Drizzle a light dose of heart-healthy polyunsaturated olive oil, loaded with polyphenols, onto your slice for an added boost of phytonutrients along with your comforting keto slice.

- A topping of freshly-shaved parmesan cheese and fresh herbs, like sprigs of basil, amplify the flavor and indulgence found in every bite.


- Sprinkle on sea veggies, like dulse or wakame, especially if you opt for an anchovy topping, for an added taste of the sea that's loaded with iodine.


I will continue to make pizza regularly using the King Arthur Keto Wheat blend flour, but I would also keep this box mix on-hand so I always have a self-contained dinner solution to toss together, mix and bake with minimal effort and maximum flavor impact, in about an hour.
